Responsibility & Exercising

March 18, 2008

13th April 08

The importance of exercising regularly cannot be overlooked.  Exercise improves mental attitude and in my opinion overall ’sense of well-being’.  It has long been known that a positive mental attitude can improve recovery in patients, and even reduce cancer tumours.

Yes… but exercise requires effort.  RESPONSIBILITY is a word we should all try to live by.  And exercising daily is taking basic responsibility for your body and mind.

Think about this…

The NHS in the United Kingdom is in financial crisis.  It is not in this state because of the hard-working Doctors or good Nurses.  It is simply not working financially because it is the responsibility of the British people to look after their health, not the NHS.

Now understand…

Inflation will continue to climb if individuals continue to fail to look after their health.  Taxpayers will have to subsidise the NHS, the smokers who get cancer; the over-weight sedentary individuals who get heart disease, etc, etc.

What is needed by the British public at large to boost the economy in these dark times… is to get fitter, eat healthier and therefore perform better.  Because lets face it… moaning about a recession will just make you more depressed.
